The self-guided route ‘Nature and Environmental Technology around the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld invites you on an exciting journey of discovery through innovative environmental technology and regional biodiversity.
The route runs across the grounds of the Environmental Campus (circular trail approx. 1.2 km) to Neubrücke railway station and leads along the idyllic cycle path to Birkenfeld (approx. 5 km). At a total of 32 stations, you will learn how climate-friendly and resource-efficient technologies are in harmony with the local flora and fauna – clearly presented on display boards in German and English.
The self-guided route was created with the kind support of the Rhineland-Palatinate Nature and Environment Foundation – in cooperation with the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park Authority and the company technician department of the Environmental Campus Birkenfeld.
