Living – Studying – Working
The municipality of Hoppstädten-Weiersbach comprises three districts: Hoppstädten, Weiersbach with Bleiderdingen, and Neubrücke. Located in the Nahe Valley on the edge of the Hunsrück-Hochwald National Park, it offers numerous recreational opportunities in the picturesque and nature-oriented landscape of the Upper Nahe Highlands. These include exploring the Water Experience Trail (Gewässer-Erlebnis-Pfad) of the Upper Nahe or hiking along the Nahe Trail (Nahesteig).
The municipality has evolved from a community historically characterised by agriculture and craft smanship into a modern hub for commerce, industry, and higher education. Hoppstädten-Weiersbach boasts excellent transportation links, including the Neubrücke regional train station with a park-and-ride facility and a solar carport with charging stations, as well as the first highway connection in the Birkenfeld district.
Additionally, Hoppstädten-Weiersbach was an early adopter of renewable energy sources such as wind power, photovoltaics, and district heating from biomass.
